VDS Residency Program
Veterinary Dentistry Specialists offers two interactive full-time residency programs to motivated candidates at our Philadelphia area locations (Mt Laurel, NJ/Chadds Ford, PA) as well as our Houston area practice (Katy, TX). Our programs are structured such that the resident will be eligible to sit for their board examination in their third year with the hopes of graduating from our program as a board-certified veterinary dentist™. Strong mentorship, dedicated time for didactic rounds, and an emphasis on laboratory preparation are paramount to our programs.
We are an AVDC-approved residency site with all required equipment and diagnostic capabilities including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) units at each practice. In addition, residents have access to training opportunities with our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Fellows.
Candidates are required to have performed a one-year rotating internship or equivalent experience. Highly motivated individuals interested in joining a fast-paced private practice environment with a focus on quality care and a collegial approach to case management should send their CV along with a cover letter of intent to Dr. Jason Soukup at jsoukup@vdsvets.com.
